Our designer range of Top-soil substitutes is now available to builders and landscapers.

Established links with local authorities combined with industry’s increased use of composted products, means rising confidence in specifying and using these innovative and environmentally friendly materials.

All our Top-soil substitute products have full accreditation to BSI PAS100 (public availability specification) and are certificated by the Composting Association.

These certified products are regularly analysed and tested to ensure constant quality control and guarantee that Welshlands supplies only the highest quality products.

Organic Pure Black Earth

A 100% accredited composted green waste produced in conjunction with Cheshire County Council. An entirely natural organic product that is an excellent soil improver and can be used for compost mixing. It’s extremely good for moisture retention in light sandy soils and it improves soil structure in heavy/clay soils, creating better drainage. It prepares the ground for planting and is a valuable source of organic matter.

This product contains compost produced in accordance with the Composting Association Standards for Composts - certified and accredited BSI PAS 100. Produced from 100% Greenwaste-heat treated and weed-free graded (0-10 mm)

Organic Blended Black Earth

A 50/50 mixture ratio of ‘composted’ bark fines (0.5mm) and organic green waste, providing a rich dark appearance and adding humus content to existing soils. Used as a soil substitute or as an excellent organic soil conditioner, Organic Blended black earth’s natural dark appearance is perfect for giving a lawn border the perfect contrast. Graded particle size 0-10mm.

Soil-Substitute Deliveries

Deliveries available from 1 cubic meter (1m³) upwards.

Bulk delivered in small or large rigid tippers, or articulated moving floor box trailers. All our products can also be delivered in IBC (jumbo) bags of 1m³ delivered on curtain-side rigid vehicles or can be collected from our production plant in Wrexham.
